Do you have a little dancer in your life and thinking of a ballerina mural to pretty-up her room? Here’s some inspo from a mural I painted in Hamilton, ON.

Oh…and another ballet/princess idea on removable wallpaper that ships for free in North America.
Ballerina Mural personalized for Bryella
The best part of having a hand-painted mural is that it can be totally personalized. For this ballerina mural, I painted Bryella’s name in a font that her mom chose.
When I paint my murals, I only use non-toxic paint so it’s safe for your kids to sleep in their room, even on the night I finish painting. For this ballerina mural, I used water based acrylic paint.
I grabbed my inspiration for Bryella’s ballerina mural from her bedding.
Bryella wears her super-long hair in 2 buns (a la Princess Leia) a lot, so I picked out two ballerinas that have their hair styled that way.
BUT instead of painting it blonde and black, I painted both the ballerinas with brown hair, just like Bryella.
It’s just another way to personalize the mural.
How’d you paint the ballerina mural?
I tackle every mural differently, but for this ballerina mural, I snapped some close-up photos of the dancers on the bedding and then printed them onto transparency sheets.
Then I used my overhead projector so I could fiddle with the size and position on the wall.
