In this Toronto Sun article, the design duo talk about making custom wallpaper, that’s easy to hang, using your own artwork or finding an image from a stock website.

Custom Made Wallpaper Originally on Cityline

Planning double duty, the boys first feature the custom wallpaper on Cityline and then use photographs from the set for their newspaper article.  Watch what they have to say about this removable wallpaper.

How to Make Custom Wallpaper

There are three ways you can create your own wallpaper with me:

  1. Add your logo, a graphic or fave quote over one of my in-stock wallpaper murals (I’ll explain below)
  2. Choose a unique image from iStock (like celebrity designer Kimberley Seldon)
  3. From your own painting or photograph (like celebrity design Jackie Glass)

Step 1: Find an In-Stock Wallpaper on my Website

An original brick mural, sold by AboutMurals.ca, was used as a backdrop for Colin and Justin's custom wallpaper

All of the wallpaper murals in my online shop, including this brick wallpaper, are high quality and look crisp and clear on your walls.  This is the backdrop we use for your custom made wallpaper.

Email me the name of the wallpaper you want to use.

Step 2: Add a Logo, Quote or Image

Send me your logo or another image you have, like the whisky logo that Colin and Justin add over the brick backdrop.  The graphic should be as high quality as possible, ideally a vector file (which ends in .eps when you look at the file).  Let me know the approximate size and placement you’d like the graphic.  For example, the boys request that the whisky logo is 3′ x 3′ and centered on the wallpaper.

If you’d like a quote written over your backdrop, email me the saying and the font you want to use.

Step 3: Purchase the Wallpaper

You need actual wallpaper to print the background and logo onto, right?  Purchase the wallpaper, so that I have something to print your fab design on.

Measure the width and height of your wall and then buy the size that most closely matches your wall size.  It’s best to have slightly more wallpaper to trim off, because walls are never perfectly level.  If you have questions, get in touch!

The cost of the custom wallpaper includes basic set up of your design, the wallpaper itself and shipping within Canada and the Contiguous USA.

Step 4: Approve your Wallpaper Sample

Once the backdrop and logo are set up to print, you need to approve your custom wallpaper design.

The cost of the custom wallpaper includes a digital proof, which is emailed to you.  If this is sufficient, just approve like Colin and Justin do for this project.

You can also buy a physical wallpaper sample, but it takes time to arrive by mail.  Keep this in mind if you have a deadline.

Your custom wallpaper ships within 10 days of receiving approval and arrives as per the normal delivery times.

Step 5: Hang Wallpaper Easily!

I always hang my wallpaper murals for the experts at Cityline so they can focus on putting the rest of the set together.  You can take advantage of my installation services in the greater Hamilton / Toronto areas of Ontario, too!  If you live elsewhere, find a pro at the Wallcovering Installers Association.

However, my wallpaper murals are easy to hang if you want to roll your sleeves up.  Just follow my installation video and your room is transformed in an afternoon.
